Announcement on placing EC FERTILIZER on the market Information on the marketing of EC FERTILIZER and the application for a certificate

On July 16, 2022, Regulation 2019/1009/EC (5 June) regulating the distribution of EU yield enhancing substances came into force.

Regulation 2003/2003/EC (13 Oct.), which regulates the distribution of EC FERTILIZER expired on July 15, 2022. The new regulation ensures the distribution of EC FERTILIZER still found on the EU market under the following conditions:
• manufacturer site in the European Union
• manufacture time before July 15, 2022
• best before date, use by date 
• until the end of stock

Application for EC-FERTILIZER certificate
In accordance with the Decree 37/2006. (18 May) FVM on the placing on the market and control of fertilisers manufactured as “EC FERTILIZER” those fertilisers intended to be placed on the market in Hungary as EC FERTILIZER must be notified by applicants to the National Food Chain Safety Office Directorate of Agricultural Genetic Resources 30 days before the start of the first placing on the market, in order to perform the necessary compliance checks. 
The notification must be made by the manufacturer or, in case of a product not produced in Hungary, only by the first Hungarian distributor, providing the following data:

Data of fertiliser to be notified: 
1.    Commercial name of fertiliser 
2.    Date of manufacture (before 15 July, 2022 exclusively) 
3.    Name and address of manufacturer (EU member state exclusively) 
4.    Date of best before 
5.    Complete composition of product expressed in weight % (w/w %)
6.    Type of EC fertiliser in compliance with Regulation 2003/2003/EC of 13 October 2003 (Annex I)
7.    Blended fertilizer

• EC fertiliser component
• name
• complete composition and proportion in the blend (%) 
• type of EC fertiliser (Regulation 2003/2003/EC)

8.    In case of high nitrogen content fertilizer (N>28m/m%) containing ammonium-nitrate: 

• original and valid Certificate of Evaluation for Detonation Resistance and Oil Retention   

(Date of certificate is not older than six months.)
9.    In the procedure of EC fertilizer notification Nébih is entitled to request additional data.
